TAMIS (Trans-Anal Minimally Invasive Surgery)

For patients with large and/or endoscopically unresectable rectal polyps or early rectal tumors, we use a special platform that allows us to completely resect the lesion endoscopically.  This technique is associated with minimal risk of polyp/tumour fragmentation and residual disease.  In specific cases, this can also be used as the ultimate biopsy.
